Stray Kitten Follows Man in Parking Lot and Won't Let Him Go Without Taking Him Along

In early November, a man from Georgia met a wandering kitten in a parking lot, calling his attention.

The kitty absolutely wanted to follow him home.

Jason Belisha was outside a car rental office in Decatur, Georgia, when he heard the kitten crying. "I was doing a rental car and I heard this little boy meowing under the car next to me, so I bent down and came straight to me.

The kitten approached him, sniffed his hand and began to rub his face against him. The cat was all alone and cold after sitting in the rain for a while. Jason looked around but could not find a cat mother or someone who would ask for it.

The little wanderer continued to cry and follow the man. He would not take no for an answer. "So I took it and put it in the car with me."

He took the kitten to a local shelter to check if the baby belonged to someone, but they could not find an owner and the shelter said they could not help. Jason was not ready for a new pet in his life because of his busy schedule, but he could not let the kitten return to the street to fend for himself.

Back home, the kitten wrapped his arms around him and fell asleep on his lap. "He was naturally super nice and kind," said Jason.

Jason brought the kitten home, fed it and even introduced it to his dog.

They became instant friends.

A week later, a friend fell in love with the kitten and offered him a home forever. It was bittersweet.

"It's an extraordinary cat that I often visit at my friend's house," Jason told Love Meow.

"He has been sterilized and vaccinated and is very happy in his new home with a big aquarium, I called him Popeye."
